For more than a decade, Dan has helped cities and organizations across the Midwest plan for stronger, more vibrant communities. His work spans neighborhood and public art planning, public realm design, economic recovery, and parking strategy development. Below are highlights from recent projects he has led or contributed to.

East Central Forward

The East Central Forward Neighborhood Plan is a neighborhood planning document for Fort Wayne's East Central Neighborhood developed by the Department of Neighborhoods.

Historic Northeast 2035

A neighborhood plan for the City of Fort Wayne's Historic Northeast Planning Area was adopted in 2024 and is filled with actionable goals and strategies that support desired neighborhood improvements.

Packard 2030

A neighborhood plan for the City of Fort Wayne's Packard Planning Area was adopted in 2023 and is filled with aspirational goals and strategies that are actionable and support neighborhood revitalization efforts.

Downtown Parking Study

Serving as a Plan Advisor for the Van Wert County Foundation and Van Wert Forward, the Downtown Van Wert Parking Study was completed in 2021 and developed by Jones Petrie Rafinski in Fort Wayne.

Northwest 2035

The Northwest 2035 Neighborhood Plan is a neighborhood planning document for Fort Wayne's Bloomingdale, Hamilton, Lincoln Park-Five Points, Nebraska, and North Highlands neighborhoods.

Public Realm Action Plan

Serving as a Plan Advisor and a staff planner for the City of Fort Wayne, the Public Realm Action Plan was completed in 2020 and developed by Gehl, a public space planning organization based in Copenhagen
